Puddy Waters

Canadian Indigenous artist Oscar Carlick is the creative force that is Puddy Waters.
Oscar is a songwriter, guitarist and vocalist from the Kitselas Nation. His home territory
is in the Kitselas community and he is based in Terrace, BC.
Oscar writes emotionally honest songs rooted in reflection, resilience, and connection to
his culture and his life experience. Blending poetic lyricism with indie-inspired
soundscapes, his music explores love, loss, healing, and growth, inviting listeners into
stories that find beauty, hope, and meaning in life’s most vulnerable moments.
Each song feels less than a performance and more like a quiet and sincere
conversation. Lyrically Oscar pulls the listener in with an intimacy and peek into his
inner voice that presents itself in a sonic wilderness blending rock, roots and singer
songwriter with a style reminiscent of Robbie Robertson, Tom Waits and Leonard
Cohen.
Oscar released an album with his former band, The Coast Drifters, ‘Bootsn’ Around’, in
early 2026 and has released five singles under Puddy Waters, with an EP set for
release early September 2026.
As a touring act, Oscar formed the Coastal Drifters touring BC extensively in 2024, 2025
and recently has been touring as Puddy Waters in 2026.
Puddy Waters studio and touring band include, Justin Gendreau on drums, Aidan
Galetti-Viscount on bass, Noah Hone on rhythm guitar, Demid Rokachev on keys, and
Jade Watts and Isabela Garcia-Erxleben on background vocals.
